Founder/CEO of the E. Tyson and Maryann Woods Educational Foundation, Inc., a registered International Non-Profit Organization (NGO) founded in 2020. Our Organization is primarily impacting the lives of children K-12 in Liberia through adequate education. Our focus is on strengthening students’ skills at the secondary level (grades: 9, 10, 11, & 12) to pass the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is administered to public and private schools in Liberia for eligible students to enter tertiary institutions. Since our inception, we have successfully produced students who took the WASSCE and passed on their first attempt. The trend is that our students will not re-sit the Exams.

We have partnered with the Rainbow Baptist Church located in Atlanta, Georgia, Adult Literacy Program. They graciously have volunteered their teachers who virtually teach our students twice a month in English and Maths. They provided 5 (five) laptops and assisted us with purchasing internet credit. We also have a local Math and Science Teacher who, twice a month, gives additional instruction. There are currently ten (10) students in our Program, and four (4) are ready to sit for the 2022 WASSCE Exams. We aim to expand our student population but are limited to the procurement of laptops and internet credits.
